Nello leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Marie Salerno Allegrucci. He has four sons, Ronald, wife, Brenda, of Dunmore; Michael Maiore, wife, Betsy, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; Nello Jr. wife, Jennie, of Bradenton, Fla.; Carmen and wife, Eileen, of Madison Twp.; and two daughters, Joanne Cimochowski, her husband, Luke, of Dunmore; and Annemarie Daffaro and husband, Jim, of Scott Twp. He attended city schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army and fought in World War II defending his country in the battles of Guadalcanal in the South Pacific. Prior to retirement, he spent his career as an electrician and electrical supervisor with Riggi Electric and Everon Electric. He was one of the longest living members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 81. He’d been a member of St. Lucy’s Church, Scranton. He spent many years working with the Boys Scouts of America with Troop 11 Scranton as an adult leader. Nello was known as the person you went to when you needed help. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff of the Mountain View Care Center of Scranton for their wonderful care given to Nello in the last 10 months. They were there for us to give our husband and dad the comfort and care he needed. We ask God’s blessings for them.
